This port is used to communicate with the computer and to control the IFR system. IPR are controlled by the ECU, which is connected to a computer via an I/O port on the left side of the vehicle. The injection pressure regulator is controlled by an internal ground switch inside of the engine. IPR is mounted in the high pressure pump (HPOP) and achieves injection control pressure regulation by discharging excess oil through a shuttle valve into the front cover and back to sump. ![]() The battery should now be supplying at least 4 volts. To check, turn off the car, unplug it from the wall socket, disconnect the negative battery cable (if you have one), then plug the positive cable back in. ![]() ![]() If you see no voltage, then your battery is not supplying enough voltage to your engine. You can check this by turning the ignition switch to the ON position, and then turning it back to “off”. If you don’t see any voltage at all when the engine is running, it may be that the battery voltage is too low. If the key is in the “on” position you should see 0.2 – 0.25 volts key on engine off (koeo), and when you start cranking you should see 4.5 – 4.5 volts.
